| I need peace, gentleness. affection and kindness in my life, and of course look for others who share these personality attributes. Most of all I love to give and receive affection, which I find as neccessary to my life as breathing. ( I cannot 'date' others who are married, or in 'open relationships' because it seems to me to contradict the possibility of developing a loving long friendship with one person--who knows? even find a soul mate! I am a native of NYC and enjoy the wide variety of cultural experiences a large city can offer, but I am now living in a rural area of upstate NY and enjoying it as well. I enjoy heading out of the house for dinner, visiting friends, a film...whatever we decide to do together. I also enjoy a quiet night at home. Very much enjoy the internet, and although it has it's limits, it is nice to be able to 'chat' with folks from around the world, as well as host those who want to get together in person. I've always loved to read and learn about this world and it's people and cultures, as well as travel whenever possible, and I have traveled quite a bit in the past for business and pleasure.
