Well, it was a good run, but after six years, my partner and I have concluded that we’ve grown apart rather than together, and decided to go our separate ways. That has its sad side, of course, but personal growth, however it happens, is always a valuable thing, and this is no different. So, even if it’s time to start over, it’s not quite back to square one. I’ve learned a lot along the way, most importantly that Mr. Right is worth the time to find, so I’m not going to be in a hurry or willing to short-change myself by settling for something which doesn’t have the right feel to it fresh out of the starting gate. A long-term relationship is my ultimate goal, but it will come when it does, maybe soon, maybe not. Right now, I’m mostly just looking for some new friends. Part of the sorting-out and healing process involves, as one of my old friends says, 'raising the fun quotient', as happy and fulfilled people make better life decisions. Hopefully the process can have rewards of its own, as well, most notably some good and lasting new friendships. And if one of those friendships results in some special synergies that take us somewhere far beyond that, it will be a bonus. My hobbies, passions and interests include such things as: reading, writing, photography, graphic arts, automobiles, trucks, buses, trains, ships, architecture, psychology, politics, the law, dining out, movies, travel, cats, and of course handsome and brilliant young men. I can hold up my end of an intelligent conversation on a variety of topics (and also just be a good listener when needed). I'm easygoing, largely non-judgmental and hopefully nurturing, reasonably articulate and sometimes credited with being somewhat insightful and intuitive. For those of you who study such things, I'm left-handed and right-brained, with all of the creative characteristics that typically go with that, although my left brain functions fairly well too, and my analytical and detail skills are more than passable. I'm looking for some low-stress good times, ranging from some intelligent and spirited conversation with those far away, to such things as enjoying a nice dinner, taking in a good movie, a leisurely drive in the countryside or a peaceful walk in the woods or on the beach, or even just a quiet evening at home sharing cold beer and good company. If any of that coincides with your idea of a good time, drop me a line and let's see what happens.
