Las Vegas for Convergence 2009!!! *** Travel Update *** 'When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are. When you wish upon a star, your dreams come true' Never truer words have been sung by an animated cricket, or anyone else if truth be told. Sometimes you just have to believe in your dreams. Oh, that may sound juvenile and silly, but how many times do you find yourself making little wishes, little bargains with a higher power for things to go in your favor, for your dream to come true? After the disasterous beginning of 2007, I made a lot of wishes, made a lot of bargains, lit a lot of candles . . . hoping to change the course that the fates had plotted for me. It took a lot of singed fingers and wasted wishes to make me realize that I had to put my trust in not just a higher power, but in my self as well. I'm not saying I was ready to forgoe my dreams, I'm saying that I was finally ready to take some of the responsibility for my own happiness from the stars and back into my own hands. To all the truly great guys out there who sent me flirts and emails, read some of my blogs, or even just sent a hello my way . . . I want to say thank you. Thank you for your friendship, your flirts, and even your not so polite offers. You truly put a smile back on my face. So down to business. What am I looking for? * Friendship * Strength of Character * Someone who's stable * Someone that has a sense of humour * Someone who can see me for more than my size * Someone with their own group of friends and doesn't have the need to be stuck to me like some clinging, suffocating vine * You have to at least tolerate Disney * Be located with a reasonably driveable distance (or commuteable in this day and age) * Be old enough so I don't have to ask your parent's permission to date you * Be young enough so I don't have to bring your caregiver along on the date I was born and raised in Southern California, and was over educated at some of the best schools in the state. I'm currently living and working in Orange County (Yes Virginia, there is life south of the Music Center). I used to be a professional Mouseketeer, now I'm just a guy that enjoys spending other people's money to send them all over the globe. (Plus, I get to travel . . . and deduct it off of my taxes!) I drink Peet's Coffee and avoid Starbuck's whenever possible. I can cook, for a crowd or for 2, it's always good. I enjoy wine but I'm not a fanatic about it. I enjoy traveling, but I won't take the rent money to Vegas. Currently I have trips to Vegas, San Francisco, San Diego, Palm Springs, New York, Orlando, Arizona, New Orleans, Boston, Washington D.C., and Seattle in the works, so if you're in any of those cities, drop me a line and let's see if we can meet up for coffee or the beverage of your choice!
